London-based food vlogger and Chef, Jake Dryan has been sharing his love for the cuisines on Instagram and he loves Indian food so much so that he has proudly stated, ‘Showcasing the Regional Cooking of India’ in his social media bio. In his latest post, Jake delighted viewers by sharing the authentic recipe for Dahibara Aludam, a popular street food originating from Cuttack, Odisha.

Jake starts by blending urad dal to create the batter for the dish. He then proceeds to deep fry the bara, which is then soaked in water to achieve the desired texture. Jake then prepares the curd mixture for fried bara, an essential step in the recipe. Moving on to the Aludum, he uses a combination of cumin seeds, bay leaves, red chilli, green cardamom, cinnamon and oil. He adds chopped onions, tomatoes, and boiled potatoes to create a flavourful curry. The video concludes with Jake skilfully plating the dish, presenting a mouthwatering final result that’s sure to make viewers crave. Sharing the post, the chef wrote, “Dahibara Aludum. I’m posting some of my favourites from the previous months.”
