In the video, you can see a mother monkey at the beginning, holding onto her baby monkey’s leg as it attempts to climb a tree. Eventually, the little one comes down and playfully nibbles on its mother’s face. The mother monkey remains calm and patient as her child keeps playing with her. In this video, a mother elephant was seen carrying her lifeless calf for an astonishing two kilometres, desperately clinging to the hope that her baby might somehow miraculously awaken.

The video was shared on platform X by Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Services (IFS) Officer. In the clip, two elephants can be seen making desperate attempts to revive the lifeless calf. Nanda, clearly touched by the scene, expressed his emotions, writing, “This broke my heart. The calf has died but the mother doesn’t give up. Carries the dead baby for two km and tries to revive it by placing it in water. And the mother’s cries ranting the air.”

Throughout the footage, her cries and efforts continue, but sadly, the calf remains unresponsive.
