Shah Rukh Khan Talks About His Viral Jawan Monologue, Says 'Desh Ki Bhalaai Ke Liye...'

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan opened up about his viral monologue from Jawan for the first time on Saturday night. The actor was responding to fans’ posts about Jawan, reposting videos of fans celebrating the film in cinema and more when he came across a post talking about the now-famous monologue from the film. For the one who haven’t watched the film yet, warning: Spoilers Ahead.

In Jawan’s climax, Shah Rukh Khan’s Azad delivers a monologue urging his countrymen to not shy away from raising questions and to think before casting their votes. Speaking about the monologue, a Shah Rukh fan said on X (previously known as Twitter), “Sir I don’t want to give spoilers but what a speech in the end!!!! @iamsrk #Jawan."

Replying to the fan, Shah Rukh said, “Arree Usmein spoiler nahi hai…. Desh ki bhalaai ke liye sab spoilers maaf. Everyone should exercise their right to vote intelligently and responsibly. Par Haan… Isko chhodh ke Baaki film Ki spoilers main Nahi bata raha hoon! Aur aap bhi matt bataana please!"

Jawan has set box office on fire. The film has entered the Rs 300 crore mark in just three days. According to trade expert Manobala V, Jawan has collected Rs 350 crore worldwide. Jawan collected a gross collection of Rs 73.76 crore in Hindi, Rs 5.34 crore in Tamil, and Rs 3.74 crore in Telugu, resulting in Rs 82.84 crore collection in India.

A Red Chillies Entertainment presentation, Jawan is directed by Atlee and produced by Gauri Khan, along with co-producer Gaurav Verma. The film will release worldwide in theatres on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. While Shah Rukh Khan headlines it, the film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance.
