Babil Khan opens up on being Irrfan Khan's son.

Irrfan Khan's son Babil recently starred in Friday Night Plan after Qala.

Irrfan Khan’s son Babil is currently basking in the success of his recently released film Friday Night Plan. This is Babil’s second outing after his debut film Qala. Speaking about his journey in showbiz, the young actor stated that he isn’t a star kid, just Irrfan’s son.

In an interview with Filmygyan, Babil shared that nepotism is his ‘grey’ area. “Main star kid nahi hoon Irrfan ka beta hoon. I have to earn the role and after earning, I have to deliver it as well,” (I am not a star kid but Irrfan’s son). He further added that, it is important for him to earn a role, or else it would affect his self confidence and self belied. He also added that he would always prefer it that way.

Babil however added that being Irrfan’s son also comes with privileges, which are quite different. “Being Irrfan’s son, privilege is different. I can walk up to his friends so I get to learn a lot. That is my biggest privilege. I can call Pankaj Tripathi sir and say that I need voice training,” stated Babil.

Babil also shared about being compared with his superstar father. The actor shared that he doesn’t pay much heed to it, and is not willing to step into his father’s shoes. “Mere bhi to joote hain bhai (laughter) to main unme kab paon daalunga agar unke joote pehenne lagunga to? (I also have my own shoes so if I step into his shoes, when will I step into mine?)."

Coming back to Friday Night Plan, News18 Showsha gave the film 4 stars and wrote, “Friday Night Plan is a warm hug to every person, especially those in their teens and 20s to feel validated. It talks about taking things easy, but responsibly. This movie actually deserves to be a part of your Friday night plan - an emotional rollercoaster ride that promises laughter, and perhaps a few tears of joy."
