Fakhar Zaman made a wonderful gesture as he supported the ground staff who were working very hard to cover the ground after rains came in to interrupt the match between India vs Pakistan.

The rematch between India vs Pakistan was underway as the Indian opening pair of Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma managed to get the Indian side off to a flying start. Both managed to get their half-centuries in a relatively quick time. Eventually, the partnership was broken and both batters were dismissed. Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Shadab Khan and Shubman Gill was dismissed by Shaheen Afridi. However, just like the last game. Rain’s continued to play spoilsport to the highly anticipated match with the grounds being forced to be under covers.

Amidst all the talk of the big match-up between rival nations, Pakistan’s opening batter, Fakhar Zaman made a wonderful gesture as he was seen helping the groundsmen by bringing in the covers and assisting them.

Zaman might also be having similar feelings to that of the fans who shared their frustrations with the marquee clash being washed out. But the ACC had announced that the match has been assigned a reserve day so that in case the game gets washed out today, the game can be continued without the loss of overs in the next day provided there are no interruptions there as well.

Team India are currently ahead in the game after brilliant starts from their opening duo. Currently, they are 147 runs for the loss of two wickets and have Virat Kohli and KL Rahul batting at the moment.

It is yet to be seen if the match being stopped due to rain will affect a shift in tides with regard to momentum as India have two new batters in the middle.

However, India has a deep batting order with the likes of Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur who can also contribute with the bat.

India will be looking to post a high target for the Pakistan side to chase as fans and players alike would want the game to continue either today or on the reserve day which is tomorrow.
