The video was dropped on March 6 on the official social media handles of the Regina Humane Society — an animal shelter in Zehner, Canada. It captures the staff at the shelter saying their final goodbyes to an adorable dog named Jax, who found his second home, being adopted by an elderly gentleman.

The heart-melting clip opens to show one of the members at the animal shelter bringing Jax to the other caregivers. The staff who were present there started clapping for the dog, presumably happy that he finally got his forever home. Jax appeared to be quite friendly, going to each one of the attendants as they caressed the animal affectionately. After being showered with love, Jax finally reached his present owner, who also stroked his new furry companion lovingly.
Wishing Jax a happy life ahead, the equally touching caption of the video reads, “It was a tearfully happy Friday afternoon when all the staff gathered to send off our boy Jax. He formed a perfect bond with his new dad, and it was time to go home. After greeting his adopter, he made his way around the room and said goodbye to every person there. It was an incredibly sweet moment to end his long stay at the Shelter. Have a great life, Jax.”
