GoPro is finally bringing wireless audio support to the Hero 12 Black action camera which is still one of the rugged options to shoot underwater.

GoPro has refreshed its action camera lineup in the market with the new GoPro Hero 12 Black which comes with a slew of improvements, including the promise of a longer battery life. GoPro has generally focused on basic upgrades with the newer models but this year’s Hero camera also ensures that vloggers can get the best out of their audio gear. The camera still carries the same battery pack so the improvements you see are clearly on the software side.

GoPro Hero 12 Black Price In India

GoPro Hero 12 Black is priced at Rs 45,000 while you also have the GoPro Hero 12 Black Creators edition with a Media Mod, Light Mod and Volta grip accessories, priced at Rs 65,000. GoPro is taking the pre-orders for the Hero 12 Black camera which goes on sale from September 13.

GoPro Hero 12 Black Features

The new Hero camera can shoot in 5.3K resolution HDR mode, which GoPro says can last for up to 70 minutes on a single charge, which is double the backup that the Hero 11 Black offers. If you reduce the video quality, the backup time will only increase. GoPro is also bringing Bluetooth support for audio devices like wireless earbuds or headphones, helping you record the audio simultaneously with the video recording.

The next big upgrade comes in the form of the Max Lens Mod 2.0 which takes the field-of-video from 156 degrees to 177 degrees, that too in 4K resolution at 60 fps. The built-in camera allows you to shoot 27MP photos and the action camera is equally capable of shooting long videos underwater.

The company also has a slew of accessories that are worth checking out, and you also have the Quik app for editing clips and photos on the desktop which is only available for GoPro subscribers. The desktop app is launching in December this year for Mac users, while those using a Windows PC will have to wait till Summer 2024 to get the app.
