According to Adam Mosseri’s post, his first job was of a waiter and then he got into bartending before becoming a designer at Facebook.

Achieving a goal in life, whether it is personal, professional, financial, emotional, or anything else, is genuinely the best feeling ever. It gives you an endorphin rush when you set your mind to something and accomplish it someday. But accomplishing goals also involves a lot of effort, concentration, discipline, and sometimes a little manifestation. Along similar lines, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri recently shared his employment history on the social media platform- Threads. He listed every job he’s ever had in the past, indicating that even successful CEOs must start at the bottom.

Adam Mosseri, who was appointed CEO of Instagram following the resignation of the app’s founders in 2018, 6 years after Mark Zuckerberg purchased it for $1 billion, has been unofficially assigned to Meta’s new app- Threads. However, before entering the realm of technology, he had the far less glamorous experience of washing dishes and waiting tables. That’s according to his most recent Threads entries, in which he claimed his first job was as a waiter. According to Adam Mosseri’s post, he then got into bartending before becoming a designer.

Although there are no specific dates or firm names mentioned in the post, Mosseri graduated from New York University in 2005 and began working as a product designer and UI engineer for TokBox two years later, according to his LinkedIn profile, which does not mention his time in the hospitality industry.

According to The Fortune, Mosseri got his big break at Facebook in 2008, where he worked his way up from product designer to Instagram’s head of product over the course of 15 years. Adam Mosseri opened up about his journey to success as part of a trend on the site in which social media users summarise the five jobs they’ve held to get to where they are. Although it is unclear who initiated the trend, Mosseri’s post has received over 2,000 likes and over 200 comments so far. In the comment section, many were inspired to read about his journey.

“Fantastic career from very humble beginnings. My admiration for your work and what you leave,” one user wrote. “Wow….what is the secret @mosseri ? How did you climb up that ladder so fast? You are an inspiration!,” another commented. There were many who also shared their own job history and struggles to achieve it.

On the other hand, Mosseri on September 4 said that Threads is all set to get an edit button and other exciting features such as search and Instagram integration will improve.
