The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the exam form submission dates for private students in Class 10 and Class 12. Students can apply for the 2024 board examinations online between September 12 and October 11 on the official website, cbse.gov.in. However, an extended period from October 12 and 19 has also been provided to the students.

But, they must note that for applications filed at this time, an extra late charge of Rs 2,000 must be paid. CBSE will administer exams to private students in 2024 based on the syllabus published on the official website.

CBSE 2024 Board Exam: Eligibility For Private Students

-Candidates from the session 2022–23 who have been declared “essential repeat" in the exam in 2023–23

-Students from the 2022–23 academic year who have been assigned to a compartment in the board’s main test in 2023

-Candidates who were assigned to a compartment at the first-chance compartment exam

-Candidates declared failed or essential repeat in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

-Students from the classes of 2022 and 2023 who wish to reappear in order to improve their performance in one or more subjects

-Passed candidates from 2022 and 2023 who want to take an additional subject

-Female aspirants who are Delhi residents.

-Candidates with special needs who live in Delhi and have reached the age limit for Class 10 or 12.

Further, candidates must note that only the submission of the form and payment of the fee does not provide the candidate with the right to appear in the examination. His or her eligibility will be determined by meeting the board’s eligibility requirements. The fees must be paid online using net banking, a debit card, or a credit card (both national and international). Offline payments, such as DD/ Postal Order/ Money Order/ Cheque, will not be accepted. Moreover, the exam centre will be allotted as per the choice of city filled in the form by the candidate.

The CBSE has announced that the class 10 and class 12 board examinations for the academic year 2023-2024 will begin on February 15, 2024. The board has requested that all organisations arrange their exams while keeping the aforementioned board exam timetable in mind. The exam would end on April 10, 2024, after 55 days, according to the board. The specific timetable for the 2024 board exams has not yet been released. Once the official date sheet for classes 10 and 12 is out, students can access it via the official website.
