What makes the video funnier is the imaginative narration, attributing thoughts to the cat's perspective.

People who claim that animals lack emotions are not being truthful. Since animals cannot communicate their feelings verbally, they convey their emotions through their actions. Consider infants as an example— babies express themselves through babbling or crying. In households with two toddlers, it’s not uncommon for one to feel jealous when their mother pays attention to the other child. In a similar fashion, animals can experience jealousy when their owner shows affection to another animal. A viral video serves as a perfect illustration of this concept. What makes the video funnier is the imaginative narration, attributing thoughts to the cat’s perspective.

The video begins to show cat’s discontented expression as it looks at something in the distance. As the camera shifts, it becomes evident that the cat’s reaction is directed towards a scene unfolding in front of it—a dog comfortably seated on its owner’s lap. The video skilfully captures the cat’s persistent efforts to displace the dog from its coveted spot, eventually succeeding after multiple attempts.

The video has been shared on an Instagram page dedicated to the cat named Milo, accompanied by a caption that humorously declares, “Milo laid down the law."

Witness this amusing video featuring the jealous cat here:

Since its upload on August 31, the video has amassed an impressive 2.1 million views, with numerous individuals sharing their thoughts in the comments section.

A user stated, “This dog will start snapping at the cat sooner or later if the owner doesn’t correct the cats behaviour. And if this happens the owner has absolutely no right to complain or tell the dog to stop. I love cats, but this behaviour is a complete no-go. And I’m a dog trainer and this dog is fed up with the cat."

While another individual mentioned, “It was horrifying to see what you go through, Milo, especially since your employee posted a video before this with a slightly less truthful perspective. Just horrifying to see what you go through."

“This video makes my heart feel so full because Milo reminds me of my older sister’s cat, Brody, who passed away earlier this year. They look very similar and Brody’s behavior was absolutely terrible when my sister adopted him from a friend of hers. But over time, his behavior got so much better and he would only occasionally get into “moods" like the one Milo is in for this video," read a comment.

Some of them even opposed the cat’s behaviour. What are your thoughts?
