Tara Sutaria has come a long way in showbiz. The actress made her film debut back in 2019 with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2. Over the years, she may have shown her acting prowess, however, she feels that her talent as a performer is not utilized properly. The actress will soon be seen in her much awaited film Apurva.
The actress shared that the character she portrayed is by far ‘the most powerful character’ she has encountered in her life.
Opening up about the film she shared, “‘I am immensely grateful for the strong characters I have had the privilege to portray in my career thus far. However, the most powerful character I have encountered is in my upcoming film titled Apurva. This film marks my first opportunity as the sole lead, which is incredibly exciting for a young actress like myself. I am fortunate to have been entrusted with the role of a girl who displays immense self-determination. Apurva is a survival drama that tells a gripping tale, unlike anything I have done before and something that is uncommon in the industry."
Tara Sutaria holds a strong screen presence and in films such as Tadap, where she portrayed a grey character, Marjaavan, in which she played a different personality, and Ek Villain Returns has proved that she is capable of playing challenging roles.
The actress is going to surprise with her next Apurva by taking up another challenging role. Apurva, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat is touted as a thriller film and is said to be a challenging film for the leading actress as with this upcoming film, she is going to tap into a subject that she has never tried before.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tara Sutaria was last seen in the action thriller film Ek Villain Returns, co-starring Arjun Kapoor, John Abraham, and Disha Patani. She will next be seen in Apurva, alongside Gehraiyaan star Dhairya Karwa, Abhishek Banerjee, and Rajpal Yadav.
Coming back to Apurva, the film is the 27-year-old actress’s first female-oriented film. The official release date of the film, produced by Murad Khetani and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, is still unknown.
