Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been in the spotlight because of her recent filmi outing, Kushi, with Vijay Deverakonda, which released on September 1. This film was her last project before taking a break from acting to focus on her treatment for myositis, a condition she was diagnosed with earlier this year. She went to the US for treatment in August and has now returned to India. After spending a week in Mumbai, it looks like she’s getting ready to head out. She was papped at the Mumbai airport in chic casuals on Saturday night. The stunning actress opted for brown trousers, brick-coloured tank top and a sweater thrown on. She wore a mask to stay away from attention. Earlier this week, a pap video of the actress at the Mumbai airport went viral. In the video, Samantha can be heard saying, “I thought I will escape."
Samantha recently unveiled the first look of Kushi co-star Vijay Deverakonda’s brother, Anand Deverakonda’s next, Gam Gam Ganesha. “Excited to share the killer first look of dearest @ananddeverkonda’s next. #GamGamGanesha looks wonderful. Best wishes to the entire team :),” she wrote.
Samantha recently went to the wild and hilly region of Big Sur in California and posted several pictures of the lush forests and green landscapes of Big Sur, along with a photo of herself in a swimming pool.
Meanwhile, since September 4, Monday, Kushi suffered a slight decline. On its seventh day, the film was only able to collect Rs 50 lakh. News reports suggest that the release of Jawan and Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty could be a big reason for the film’s recent decline in the theatres. At the moment, the domestic collection of the film on its seventh day stands at Rs 41 crore.
The actress will be next seen opposite Varun Dhawan in the Indian adaptation of Citadel.
