IndiGo has officially announced the relaunch of its direct flight connecting Hyderabad in South India to Malé in the Maldives. It is set to commence on October 31. This decision comes in anticipation of the upcoming peak holiday season, further solidifying IndiGo’s status as the airline with the most extensive flight network between the two nations.
The introduction of these new non-stop flights is anticipated to boost tourist traffic between India and the Maldives, providing passengers with increased travel convenience. The Maldives has consistently been a preferred destination for Indian travellers, witnessing a notable increase in visitor numbers from India. With India playing a pivotal role in promoting tourism in the Maldives, these additional flight options will cater to the needs of Indian travellers, further strengthening the bond between the two nations.

Hyderabad-Male Direct Flight Schedule and Timings
IndiGo’s Flight 6E 1137 is set to run a regular route from Hyderabad to Male with flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The departure time from Hyderabad is locked in for 10:20 AM, with the flight touching down in Malé at 12:25 PM. In return, Flight 6E 1138 will operate from Male to Hyderabad on the same days, starting October 31, 2023. Departure from Male is slated for 1:25 PM, and the flight is expected to land in Hyderabad at 4:25 PM. For travellers planning their journeys, ticket bookings can be conveniently made through the official IndiGo website.
IndiGo has also recently launched thrice-weekly flights, available on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, establishing a connection between Goa’s newly inaugurated MOPA airport and Abu Dhabi. This marks a significant milestone as the first flight from North Goa to the Middle East, while the previous Goa airport already boasts connectivity to various Middle Eastern destinations, including Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Bahrain, and Sharjah, through other airlines like Air India Express, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, and more.
