IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Super 4: Check out the prediction for Colombo weather on Sunday as India and Pakistan gear up to lock horns in the Super 4 game of the Asia Cup 2023.

The R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo is set to host India and Pakistan in what’s going to be a re-match of the arch-rivals in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. India will begin their journey in the Super Fours of the continental event on Sunday against Babar Azam & Co, who are coming into the game after thrashing Bangladesh in Lahore. A cracker of a contest would be expected but only if the weather in Colombo allows for the same.

A clear sky with a little cloud cover was witnessed in the capital city of Sri Lanka on Sunday morning as people shared photos and videos on social media. But the weather condition is likely to get worse as the day progresses. Accuweather.com predicts a thunderstorm along with 60 per cent chances of rain at the beginning of the play – 3 PM – and 98 per cent cloud cover.

What if the game gets washed out?

If the game gets washed out, just like the previous India vs Pakistan encounter In Kandy, then the arch-rivals will resume the play on Monday – which has been kept as a reserve day. The Asia Cricket Council (ACC) took the decision on Friday in order to ensure a complete game between India and Pakistan. The likes of Sri Lanka Cricket and Bangladesh Cricket Board have given their consent to the decision.

“A reserve day has been incorporated for the Super11 Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match between India vs Pakistan scheduled to take place on 10th September 2023 at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo,” the ACC said in an official statement.

“If adverse weather suspends play during the India vs Pakistan game, the match will continue on 11th September 2023 from the point it was suspended. In such an eventuality, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets which will remain valid and will be utilised for the reserve day,” it added.
