Sudarshan Pattnaik has created a wonderful sand art at Puri beach in Odisha to extend a unique welcome to US President Joe Biden.

US President Joe Biden arrived on Friday night for the G20 Summit in Delhi. The national capital is in celebration mode. It’s not just the capital city that’s celebrating, Padma Shri awardee and renowned artist Sudarshan Pattnaik has created a wonderful sand art at Puri beach in Odisha to extend a unique welcome to US President Joe Biden. Using approximately two thousand diyas, Pattnaik has created sand art that has been receiving praise from social media users. Amid discussions surrounding India and Bharat, the artist wrote, “Welcome to Bharat.” He has also added the official logo of the grand summit.

The complex sculpture required approximately five tonnes of sand and it was created by Pattnaik and his students from Pattnaik’s Sand Art Institute. Sharing the video, Pattnaik wrote, “My sand sculpture at Puri beach by using 2000 diyas to welcome the US president.”

The White House earlier confirmed that President Joe Biden will follow all COVID-19 guidelines during his visit to India for the G20 Summit.

Biden and the US delegation are staying at the ITC Maurya Sheraton in Chanakyapuri for the two-day event. For the security and convenience, his secret service team and secret commandos have been positioned on every floor of the hotel. Approximately 400 rooms have been reserved at the hotel. Additionally, a special elevator has been installed to ensure easy access for President Biden to his room on the 14th floor.

Leaders from various member countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Japan, Germany, South Korea, Canada, France, South Africa, and Turkey have participated in the G20 Summit. However, China, Russia, Spain and Mexico, have opted not to attend for various reasons.

India has also invited leaders from non-member countries, these nations including Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nigeria, Egypt, Mauritius, Oman, Singapore, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

Prior to the commencement of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting at Lok Kalyan Marg. PM Modi held meetings with US President Joe Biden, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.
